being a morning person

I am grateful to my parents for supporting my religiosity by "helping" me to be a morning person. Indeed, nothing makes me lose my breath and words more than the stillness of dawn.

...of course, my transition through adolescence was not marked by said gratitude. That period was more about them learning how to give me a wide berth.

  1. Good morning Martha, I was hanging out with Alex and Donna yesterday and we are all looking forward to spending time with you. Thank you for sharing your stories and photos, feels like I am there. All I can contribute to the comment about being a morning person is that, coffee and fresh cut flowers look better before 6am. The mystique that I am one of the only ones up and it seems more sacred because of that. Corry
